RHCS Thanksgiving Feast

At school the boys have a Thanksgiving Feast every year. Being a Christian school, they can celebrate with the Christian aspect of Thanksgiving tradition. This was for the first and second graders. They had turkey and all the trimmings. All the students came as either a pilgrim or Native American of the Wampanoag Tribe from costumes they had made. This is really neat because of the trip to Plimouth Plantation in June. This is the tribe that was part of the first Thanksgiving. I was able to attend and enjoy the afternoon with the boys.
Zachy the Native American and Jarod the Pilgrim.

Zachy ate some of the turkey(although he did ask for BBQ sauce, haha). He loved the corn and cornbread!
Jarod had three full platefuls of everything, except the greenbeans. He loved it, especially the mashed potatoes with gravy.
Jarod and his teacher Mrs. Ripka.

Zachy and his teacher Mrs. Horvath.
What a nice afternoon, we are thankful the boys were able to celebrate Thanksgiving the way it is meant to be and for their wonderful teachers!
I think the boys were thankful for apple cider, they loved it!

Bowling With Grandaddy

Bowling with Grandaddy is almost a tradition now. All the Kane grandkids love to go and bowl. The older ones help Tyler and Eva bowl. We always have alot of fun!!

First Day Of School

The first day of school. The boys were so excited to see their friends again and to have their new back packs and lunchboxes. I am going to do some slideshows here and there. That way it is not constant scrolling...

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend the Landis family spent some time together. We had ice cream cake for Jarod and Zach's birthdays. We always have alot of fun when all the Aunts and Uncles come into town. Saturday night we had everyone to our house. We had a good time.
The best of both worlds, ice cream AND cake in one bite!

Sunday we spent the afternoon at Grammy and Pop Pop's house. The boys were watching people playing horseshoes.

Uncle Mike has laser tag guns. This is something as you can see the boys (and Aunt Marci!) enjoy playing. I am not sure who has more fun with this, the smaller boys or the bigger ones!

Aunt Marci was resting up with Ashley for her turn:)

Ashley is just thinking, what is with boys?

Now Aunt Marci is ready to beat the boys...

Wildwood Crest - August

During the month of August my parents, aka Grandma and Grandaddy, stayed at a house in Wildwood Crest, NJ. All of us went at different times, sometimes a day or two overlapped. We went to the beach of course and the boys went to a waterpark with Grandaddy. Minigolfing is always a fan favorite. We also went to the boardwalk at night where the kids got to go on rides, get their faces painted, eat food and play games. I even got to go out with Grandma alone. We all had a great time! Here are some pictures, again not in any specific order.

Jarod did ride this roller coaster!

Tyler never went in the water, but boy did he have fun in the sand.

The Villages, FL - July

Well, since we are getting ready to head down to see Grandma & Grandaddy again, I figured I should put some pictures up of our last trip. In July I was able to mix business with pleasure. I did some work down in Florida and took Jarod and Zachy with me. It was a few days, but it was fun. My niece Jasmine was able to come and visit with her sister Reva and mom Renee. A good time was had by all. Here are a few pictures of that trip. Of course the pool is always a hit, as well as driving around in the golf cart!

Bedtime prayers every night.

Do we look tired?
